What a pleasure it is to stroll through the park’s 10ha seeking local wildlife. The park was created more than 30 years ago in the heart of the island.

A wonderful world to discover…
Follow the waymarked paths between ponds, oak groves and backwaters where hundreds of birds live in perfect harmony: buzzards, ducks, geese, swans, herons, egrets …
The highlight of the visit is to the heronry in the centre of the aviary home to swans damaged by electricity cables along with owls found wounded on the roadside. And there’s a 9m high observatory from which a fine view over the surrounding marshes may be had.
The wildlife sanctuary, where several hundred wild animals are cared for each year, is not open to visitors since they need peace and quiet!
Opening hours
April-June & September :
Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00; weekends from 14:00 to 18:00
July & August :
Daily from 10:00 to 19:00
1st October to 14th November :
School holiday period daily except Saturday from 14:00 to 18:00. Other dates : Wednesday and Sunday from 14:00 to 18:00
Annual closure from 15th November to 31st March.
The ticket office closes 1 hour before the site.
