Visitors are amazed by the tales of the foreshore or of the estate: the 100 year old ponds (claires) dug out by hand by men in wooden clogs; the tools for this exhausting labour; the beneficial plants that grow along the channels (salicornia, soda plant); birds of the sea and the marshes that nest on the roofs of cabins; the barges of yesteryear…
